What's In a Name.....?

AS many of you will know, Sarge is having a competition called The Nickname Game. Here are the rules..

1. Sometime between May 11^th and end of the day on May 18^th, create a post on your own blog where you list all of the nicknames you’ve been called by your peeps.
2. Invite your furiends to comment with their own vote for his/her favorite of your nicknames.  For the following week, your peeps all have to call you ONLY BY YOUR WINNING NICKNAME!  BOL
3. Leave a comment for me so that I know you pawticipated.

After the event ends, I will post a list showing all of the pawticipants and their winning nicknames.  All of the nicknames will be entered in a random drawing.   
AND YES THERE WILL BE PRIZES…LOTS OF GREAT PRIZES!

The Deep South Comes to Yorkshire......

Lately I've been feeling a little bored.

I've been doing quite a lot of this:

So when Mum answered the door the other day and I heard her say to Mr Postman.. " Oh for God's sake, not another parcel for the bl**dy dog"  I was naturally curious.

When I saw that the parcel was from my best small greyhound friend Puddles Duddles Rainwater curiosity turned to downright joy....

Mum you really are rubbish. This does not in any way capture the moment. Have you considered a new camera...? hehehe!!

A little better I suppose, but why do you always press the flashy thing when I have just stopped smiling?

Finally I was able to open my parcel. See how beautifully it is wrapped? I can only conclude that Puddles is one classy bird dog.....

Well it just got better and better! Inside were two packs of Cheetos (regular & crunchy) and a box of fantastic carob chip doggy cookies! I was in seventh heaven! ( If you look very closely you will see that I am starting to dribble a tiny little bit....)

So thank you very much indeed Puddles mate. You brightened up my day (several days in fact!)

My loyalty is to those who give me cookies...

Do You Believe In Fairies?

It’s Me… KC!!!

I has interrupted Uncle Deccy’s usual blag to talk to you about da fairies!

Does you think dat there could really be fairies at da bottom of your garden?

Well, a long time ago, way back in 1917, there was a bit of a stir caused by two scheming con artists little girls who said dat they had taken some fotos of da fairies in their garden… Since dis garden is not far from my own garden I was naturally curious..

Ooh dats not far at all… da fairies should be easy to investigate… or dats what that numpty  Sir Arthur Conan Doyle who created that opium fuelled really clever detective Sherlock Holmes thought.

Honestly, how could dat man be taken in like dat? He looked at da fotos and said dat they was not fakes, they was proper fairies… yeah well, how stupid can a grown man be? (I suppose dat depends on just how much pot he had been smoking!)

It’s obvious dat those fotos was fotoshopped!

It's that Purple Sparkly Time Again!

                   

Well, doesn't time fly when your having fun....?! It seems only  yesterday that I announced that the category for April's Award would be "It's a Mystery" and here we are in May already. 

Of course the category was just my own underhand and sneaky way of being able to award the Purple Sparkly Toilet Seat to any blog I felt like without having to reveal my paw first, as it were! Having given the previous two awards to specific categories, I really wanted to give April's Award to any blog I liked, regardless of the reason.

Being a light-hearted chap most of the time, my favourite blogs are often ones that make me chuckle, but then I love some of the photographs and the sharing of experiences and problems too. 

This month, however, I would like to present my Excellent Blog Award to Madi and Mom for their post entitled "Ultimate Tuesday 'Tocks." This post had us laughing out loud, and we are full of admiration for Mom for managing to snap the dare devil Madi in such an athletic pose!

Many of you will already know Madi, as she is a very popular (and highly attractive) cat from North Carolina.We have only been friends for a few months but we really love her blog and sense of humour. Of course, Mum is delighted that I can now count a cat amongst my pals too!
